UAV magnetometry
What it is
Aerial measurement of magnetic-field variation using a specialist magnetometer carried in a controlled survey configuration.
India direction
The method is used selectively in mineral exploration and geophysical investigation where sensor interference, terrain clearance, calibration and geological interpretation can be controlled.
Why it matters
It can extend magnetic coverage across difficult ground, but magnetic anomalies are interpreted evidence rather than proof of a deposit or buried object.
