Scope & options

Orthomosaics are geometrically corrected image mosaics; GSD describes pixel footprint, while positional accuracy is established with independent reference checks.

RTK/PPK camera positions can strengthen the control network but do not replace an achieved-accuracy report.

Bare-earth modelling from RGB is limited where the ground is visually occluded.

Terms, explained
Orthomosaic
A geometrically corrected overhead image assembled from overlapping photographs.
GSD
Ground sampling distance: the ground size represented by one image pixel; it is not positional accuracy.
Check point
An independently surveyed point used to test the achieved mapping accuracy.
Can I measure distances or areas from this map?

Yes, within the achieved accuracy and visible coverage stated in the survey report. The intended use determines control, validation and acceptable uncertainty.

Is image resolution the same as accuracy?

Ground sampling distance describes the image pixel footprint; positional accuracy describes agreement with independent reference measurements.

Can a normal photograph provide a bare-earth model?

Photogrammetry models the visible surface. Dense vegetation or structures can hide bare earth, so LiDAR or supplementary ground observations may be needed.

Can you process my existing photographs?

A data review checks coverage, image quality, camera information and control before a processing scope is accepted. Missing capture cannot be recovered by promising a software fix.
