How we deliver

Scope & options

Stockpile and cut/fill quantities are surface-to-surface volume calculations; the chosen base surface can materially change the answer.

Volume and mass are different quantities; tonne estimates require defensible density information.

Repeat surveys need consistent boundaries, datums and comparison epochs for reliable reconciliation.

Explore 3 service variants

Stockpile inventory

Measure individual material heaps and their footprint.

The basal surface must be known or explicitly estimated.

Earthworks cut-and-fill

Compare existing, design or repeat-survey terrain.

Design revisions and survey dates must match the quantity basis.

Material reconciliation

Compare survey quantities with project or inventory records.

Tonnes require an agreed density basis; commercial acceptance is contract-specific.

Useful to know

Terms, explained
Base surface
The agreed reference surface against which a volume or cut/fill change is calculated.
Cut / fill
Material below or above the design/reference surface, reported separately.
Reconciliation
Comparison of quantities between survey dates, design surfaces or stock records.
Can a drone tell me how many tonnes I have?

The survey measures volume. Mass requires a defensible bulk density and any agreed moisture or material adjustments; these are separate inputs.

What happens if the stockpile base is unknown?

An agreed base model or estimation method is required. The resulting limitation is recorded rather than hidden inside a precise-looking total.

Can you compare our contractor’s quantities?

Yes, using compatible boundaries, dates and quantity definitions. The report can identify differences but does not decide contractual liability.

Is a repeat survey comparable to the first survey?

Only when reference systems, boundaries, methods and surface definitions are sufficiently consistent. Changes in these are documented.

Method & limitations

Agree the stockpile base or comparison surfaces before calculating quantities.

Use consistent survey dates, boundaries and coordinate systems.

Separate measured volume from mass derived using supplied/tested density.

The basal surface must be known or explicitly estimated.

Design revisions and survey dates must match the quantity basis.

Tonnes require an agreed density basis; commercial acceptance is contract-specific.

Help me ask
  • What base surface will you use for each stockpile?
  • Do I need cubic metres, tonnes or both?
  • How will you reconcile this survey with the previous survey or bill?
Use ordinary words. A short problem description is enough. Do not include confidential or security-sensitive information.
Start with state and district/city. Exact boundaries can be provided later through an agreed channel.Leave blank if unknown.
An estimate is acceptable. Leave unknown rather than inventing a measurement.Leave blank if unknown.
This is a preference, not a confirmed mobilisation or delivery date.Leave blank if unknown.
Personal addresses are accepted for civilian enquiries and individual training.
More project detail Optional
State only a non-sensitive reference. A submitted standard is a requirement to review, not a claim of accreditation.
Examples: ground-only work, no cloud hosting, limited access. Do not include personal IDs, confidential documents or sensitive locations.
Provide the tender/design requirement, not an invented target. Image resolution and positional accuracy are different.Leave blank if unknown.
Unknown is acceptable. Apply WGS84/UTM or a local benchmark only when it is confirmed for the job.Leave blank if unknown.

Which outputs do you need?
Optional: choose outputs within the approved scope, or leave undecided. This is a request, not automatic inclusion.
Optional specialist variants
Only independently verified variants may be selected for a commercial enquiry.
