Monitoring

Monitoring

Encroachment & change monitoring

Compare dated maps or imagery to identify changes that need review.

What you receive

  • Dated comparison maps
  • Change polygons and area tables
  • Linked source observations
  • Review register with confidence and limitations
How we deliver

Scope & options

Change detection compares compatible dated datasets and reports where geometry/land use differs.

A boundary overlay establishes spatial relationship, not legal encroachment by itself.

Time-series evidence is strongest when acquisition method, datum and review rules remain consistent.

Explore 4 service variants

Boundary and ROW change screening

Flag differences relative to supplied parcel or corridor boundaries.

A disputed or inaccurate boundary cannot be resolved by image comparison alone.

Land-use/land-cover change detection

Map observed changes in land cover or use.

Classification needs validation; ecological/legal significance is a separate interpretation.

Asset and construction change monitoring

Track visible additions, removals or alterations.

Hidden or unobserved change remains outside coverage.

Satellite-based repeat monitoring

Use suitable archived/repeat satellite imagery.

Resolution, clouds, licensing and revisit availability constrain results.

Useful to know

Terms, explained
Change detection
Comparison of consistent datasets to flag new, removed or altered features.
Boundary overlay
Authoritative or client-supplied boundary data shown against current observations.
Time series
Multiple dated observations used to distinguish persistent change from one-off conditions.
Does a detected change prove illegal encroachment?

It is evidence for review. Valid boundaries, records, permissions and the competent authority determine legality.

Can you compare against an old Google image?

Only if the imagery rights, date, positional suitability and quality support the use. Better reference data may be required.

Will every change be detected?

Visibility, image resolution, timing and model error impose limits. The report should identify these rather than claim exhaustive detection.

Can historical satellite data be used?

Potentially, subject to archive availability, suitable resolution and licensing. No historical coverage is promised before checking.

Method & limitations

Use compatible reference data, boundaries and observation dates.

Label detected change separately from legal interpretation.

Maintain traceable evidence and an explicit review workflow.

A disputed or inaccurate boundary cannot be resolved by image comparison alone.

Classification needs validation; ecological/legal significance is a separate interpretation.

Hidden or unobserved change remains outside coverage.

Resolution, clouds, licensing and revisit availability constrain results.

Help me ask
  • Which dated baseline and legally recognised boundaries should we use?
  • What kinds of change matter for our review?
  • What validation will distinguish real change from image differences?
Use ordinary words. A short problem description is enough. Do not include confidential or security-sensitive information.
Start with state and district/city. Exact boundaries can be provided later through an agreed channel.Leave blank if unknown.
An estimate is acceptable. Leave unknown rather than inventing a measurement.Leave blank if unknown.
This is a preference, not a confirmed mobilisation or delivery date.Leave blank if unknown.
Personal addresses are accepted for civilian enquiries and individual training.
More project detail Optional
State only a non-sensitive reference. A submitted standard is a requirement to review, not a claim of accreditation.
Examples: ground-only work, no cloud hosting, limited access. Do not include personal IDs, confidential documents or sensitive locations.
Provide the tender/design requirement, not an invented target. Image resolution and positional accuracy are different.Leave blank if unknown.
Unknown is acceptable. Apply WGS84/UTM or a local benchmark only when it is confirmed for the job.Leave blank if unknown.

Which outputs do you need?
Optional: choose outputs within the approved scope, or leave undecided. This is a request, not automatic inclusion.
Optional specialist variants
Only independently verified variants may be selected for a commercial enquiry.
