Water & Marine

Water & Marine

Coastal, port & dredging survey

Measure coastal works, channels and dredged areas for marine engineering.

What you receive

  • Bathymetric and coastal survey drawings
  • Pre-/post-dredge models and quantity schedules
  • Clearance/obstruction and shoreline maps
  • Survey-quality and reconciliation report
How we deliver

Scope & options

Port and dredging surveys use a controlled hydrographic datum and coverage specification matched to the accepting authority or contract.

Pre/post-dredge quantities come from comparable bed surfaces with documented exclusions and uncertainty.

CRZ/HTL-LTL regulatory demarcation is a specialist statutory scope, distinct from ordinary coastal mapping.

Explore 4 service variants

Port, berth and approach-channel survey

Measure marine engineering areas and water depths.

Port access, traffic coordination and survey specification apply.

Pre-/post-dredging reconciliation

Compare bed surfaces before and after dredging.

Contract parties agree the measurement and acceptance basis.

Coastal shoreline and beach-profile monitoring

Record shoreline and coastal-profile change.

Water level and survey conditions affect comparability.

CRZ, HTL and LTL mapping support

Provide measured inputs for coastal regulatory mapping.

Statutory demarcation must be undertaken/adopted through the appropriately authorised agency; Lotusmirk does not self-issue CRZ certification.

Useful to know

Terms, explained
Hydrographic survey
Georeferenced depth and seabed survey for ports, approaches, dredging and coastal works.
Pre/post-dredge model
Comparable bed surfaces used to calculate material removed or remaining.
Shoreline control
Survey control linking land, water and engineering datasets in one reference system.
Will the survey prove that dredging meets the contract?

It can measure the specified bed condition and quantities. Contract acceptance depends on the agreed survey specification and the accepting party.

Is a bathymetric chart an official navigation chart?

Official chart production and navigational acceptance require the competent hydrographic or maritime authority’s process.

Can Lotusmirk issue an HTL/LTL or CRZ certificate?

Lotusmirk does not claim that authority. Authorised-agency participation and applicable coastal procedures must be confirmed for statutory work.

Are marine geophysics and metocean included?

They are distinct specialist disciplines and are education-only in this catalogue. The survey brief must not silently bundle them as live services.

Method & limitations

Agree chart/vertical datum, coverage and the accepting authority’s specification.

Keep pre-/post-dredge quantity comparison consistent and traceable.

Separate hydrographic measurement from CRZ demarcation and navigation approval.

Port access, traffic coordination and survey specification apply.

Contract parties agree the measurement and acceptance basis.

Water level and survey conditions affect comparability.

Statutory demarcation must be undertaken/adopted through the appropriately authorised agency; Lotusmirk does not self-issue CRZ certification.

Help me ask
  • Which port or contract survey specification must the results meet?
  • What datum and baseline will govern dredge quantities?
  • Do we need engineering mapping or authorised CRZ demarcation support?
Use ordinary words. A short problem description is enough. Do not include confidential or security-sensitive information.
Start with state and district/city. Exact boundaries can be provided later through an agreed channel.Leave blank if unknown.
An estimate is acceptable. Leave unknown rather than inventing a measurement.Leave blank if unknown.
This is a preference, not a confirmed mobilisation or delivery date.Leave blank if unknown.
Personal addresses are accepted for civilian enquiries and individual training.
More project detail Optional
State only a non-sensitive reference. A submitted standard is a requirement to review, not a claim of accreditation.
Examples: ground-only work, no cloud hosting, limited access. Do not include personal IDs, confidential documents or sensitive locations.
Provide the tender/design requirement, not an invented target. Image resolution and positional accuracy are different.Leave blank if unknown.
Unknown is acceptable. Apply WGS84/UTM or a local benchmark only when it is confirmed for the job.Leave blank if unknown.
